What to expect at Walnut Creek/Lafayette Endodontics
Your initial appointment will include an exam (clinical/imaging), diagnosis, and an explanation of your treatment options. Frequently, treatment can be done the same day as the initial visit. However, sometimes a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day. Walnut Creek Endodontics’s experienced staff will discuss your first appointment expectations at your initial phone conversation, provide you with an appointment time and a link to fill out your medical history.
Office Hours
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation/treatment:
- Information from your referral slip.
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- If you have medical or dental insurance, inform us at the initial phone conversation. We will do the utmost to have an accurate quote of your co-pay/financial obligation at time of appointment.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, atrial fibrillation etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, bisphosphonates etc.) or require medication prior to dental appointments (i.e antibiotics for pre-med. or anti-anxiety medication).
Digital Radiographs
If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 6-months), you may request that they forward them to our office. Generally, we will take radiographs in our office so we have the most up-to-date radiograph of the concerned area. We do not charge for 2D radiographs as this is part of the exam. However, the specialist will request a 3D CBCT scan be taken, which is an additional charge. We keep the cost of the scan low to help off set the additional cost.
