YongTae Park, DDS

Dr. Yong Tae Park was born and raised in Busan, South Korea. While growing up, Dr. Park dreamed of pursuing his education in the United States, and at age 15, he enrolled in high school in Marriottsville, Maryland. After finishing high school in Maryland, Dr. Park entered into his college career at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. During this time, Dr. Park developed strong passion for dentistry while he was studying as a Biological Sciences major. After graduation, Dr. Park attended UCLA School of Dentistry. It was during this time at dental school, Dr. Park decided to specialize in Endodontics. Dr. Park received his certificate in Endodontics and a Master’s of Science in Oral Biology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2019. Since graduation from his endodontic residency, Dr. Park has been in private practice in the Los Angeles area.

Dr. Park has a passion for the clinical aspects of endodontics, as well as for research and oral presentations. Dr. Park’s research projects mainly included osteogenic and neurogenic regeneration potentials of dental pulp stem cells and applications to clinical setting of pulpal regeneration procedures. Dr. Park has a total of four publications; two articles in the Journal of Endodontics, one article in the Journal of Dental Research, and one in the Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications. He has given various oral and poster presentations at many scientific conferences. Additionally, while at UPenn, American Association of Endodontics awarded Dr. Park the 3rd place resident award for Oral Presentation, and he earned the Outstanding Presentation Award when graduating from residency.
